I became an assistant to those working within the Event Operations,Event Sales and Events and Groups departments for a two-week work experience placement. I was asked to complete various admin responsibilities such as imputing excel sheet payroll data, creating stock sheets as well as organising BEO’s (Event Summaries) for the following week into appropriate folders and notice boards. This has furthered my experience in organising documents in an easily accessible manner as well as developing skills like word processor and excel. I also aided Event Operations supervisors in room set-up for events for up to 120 people as well as gathering equipment in preparation for room set-ups. This including setting up large conferences and luncheons as well as private events such as weddings. For Claridge's annual staff party I was given the responsibility of organising the confectionery stall which included following the Director of Events and Groups brief.

Volunteer at all student festival Beach Break Live mainly responsible for administering wristbands and maintain a positive and fun atmosphere for the festival goers. This was a unique experience as I was able to observe the changes in the festival under it's new format in New Quay as well as developing interpersonal skills and awareness of event logistics.
