As a CAMHS Assistant I screen, triage and allocate referrals to young people's emotional wellbeing and mental health services across Leeds. This can involve gathering information from the referral, databases, as well as via telephone conversations with young people, families and professionals to help inform the decision-making process.As a Telecoach for the newly launched CAMHS Crisis Call Helpline, I directly receive calls from professionals, young people, families and carers. Each call is different. One could require to undertake mental state and clinical risk assessments and provide advice and guidance on mental health problems. Another could require to deliver brief psychological intervention. However I am always working to empower young people, carers and families in crisis, as a means of managing situations safely and effectively.

As a Guest Service Assistant, I was the first point of contact for the majority of guests. My role was to welcome guest from all over the world with a friendly smile and exceptional service in line with our company values.It was about delivering the best possible guest experience every time, in line with Mercure and Interstate brand standards. I had to think like a guest yet act like an owner. Another key part of my role was understanding the key performance indicators our team is measured by and working hard to positively influence these whilst on shift.I had to be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience, be engaging and serve with enthusiasm.

Training to become a qualified English Teacher, I planned, taught and marked lessons for students aged 11-16. As part of my role, I also helped to create classroom displays, resources and learnt how to effectively use both Microsoft Word and Powerpoint for each lesson.I also attended staff meetings, lunch duties, after school activities and revision classes. Most importantly, I learnt vital safeguarding regulations and procedures and received CPD training on a multitude of other topics such as disability awareness, mental health awareness, pupil premium student needs and the disadvantages/barriers to education.

As a Customer Experience Assistant, I was required to work in all areas of the store, wherever I was needed. Depending on the day, I could find myself completing tasks on the shop floor, serving customers on the checkouts or assisting in the Cafe. However, the main thing was being a part of Sainsburys Winning Team and being the difference to every customers experience.The role was about doing the right thing for customers and making sure to really 'wow' them with the best shopping experience possible. Naturally, that meant it was important to be the friendly, professional face whether on the checkouts, the kiosk or the shop floor.

My duties in this role, consisted mainly of preparing drinks, keeping the bar/floor tidy and clean, and stocking up the fridges where needed. Working as a Bartender allowed me to experience working under pressure not only by managing a workload at busy times during the shift but in my life as a whole, as at the time I was balancing another job, university work and a busy family and social life.In this role, I developed an understanding of customer needs and used my own knowledge of the bar to improve business with customers. I built a commercial awareness and worked within regulations such as Health and Safety, Licensing Laws and gained much-needed Allergy and Disability awareness.

As a Sales Assistant, I was responsible for supporting my Store Manager with the achievement of retail store targets through upselling and explaining current in-store offers. I was also responsible for ensuring the store looked presentable and inviting to customers, providing a friendly welcome and constant helpful customer service, and finally, safely and hygienically leading ear and nose piercings.
