I am currently in my fourth year of University, studying marketing and business management, with a future career as a marketing executive. I have a keen interest in the magazine industry and marketing sectors. My time at Abertay has taught me how to transfer ideas and research into written reports and creative demonstrations, as well as working with a team and communicating ideas effectively. Throughout my studies, I have developed career-specific skills such as the use of media platforms and the ability to carry out market research, relevant to the field of PR and publishing. This year I have mastered the role of an events helper with the University, participating in the planning and running of events carried out by Abertay. Improving my confidence and knowledge surrounding the requirements of events management. I have also engaged in consumer research regarding a transport company, cultivating ideas to improve services. Also, demonstrating research skills through a report on the underrepresentation of sexual education in schools. Conducting first-hand research and proposing strategies to increase the learning offered to young people.I have additionally undertaken a role as a part time digital marketing assistant in a small Dundee- based business, enhancing my knowledge of marketing applications and being able to participate in contemporary campaigns. This role honed my skills in branding, digital marketing, and creative problem-solving.
