I am a registered Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR). I graduated from the CTR program in December 2020 and gained a certificate in Cancer Information Management. I passed my CTR credential test and became registered on July 9, 2021. I currently work for HCA/Parallon. In my time in this field, I have learned a lot about the career, and I have worked through abstracting all of the sites in the body. I have worked on case-findings, as well as case follow-ups, audits, and special projects such as helping with studies. I take pride in continuously working on and increasing my knowledge and understanding of my role in order to be able to advance the field that helps so many people in the end. I feel passionate about keeping medical records safe, up to date and accurate so that they might be used as a vital part of treatment, work towards cures and provide vital information for studies. I believe that we all have the right to protected healthcare information. I also believe that having correct information and documentation is vital to protect the patient and the staff involved in care as well as keep effective communication, which cuts down on unnecessary treatment and confusion that causes frustration and waste, time as well as resources. I am excited and passionate about this chapter of my life and love the thought of working in a field that will allow me the ability to continue utilizing my advanced training in anatomy as well as my years of experience in medical records and data entry. I am looking forward to being able to use the skills learned over the past 20 years of working in various medical fields, under many different roles. I am excited to continue to add my passion and knowledge to a field that is growing, changing and that is in high demand. I am also an AART registered radiologic technologist with a proven track record of performance with organizational and managerial skills, time effectiveness, and team building. I exercise the ability to get along with peers and to be a team player. I am devoted to providing better health care for my patients and to building a positive, efficient and enriched work environment. I am committed to providing high quality radiologic services while catering to patients needs before, during and after exams, with attention to detail. I desire to work one on one with patients and to demonstrate my caring and compassion for them through my demeanor. I have the ability to think critically, withstand stress, multitask as well as being a creative problem solver with a good attitude.
