As the Project Manager, I worked on a variety of health-related projects. My responsibilities included creating the overall project plan, including vision, scope, timeline, and activities, and implementing the project plan. I led weekly calls with clients to ensure we were on schedule and to address any issues that could prevent us from timely completion. I also organized all the vendors needed to successfully complete the project deliverables.

-Coordinates and recruits volunteers for various events at the AHA including health fairs, speaking opportunities and major events such as the Start! Heart Walk.-Sends out a bi-monthly newsletter to volunteers with highlights and future opportunities-Updates AHA Greater Bay Area Website and Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/AHA.GreaterBayArea) -Tracks Health Fair opportunities including how many people were reached and how the AHA was involved.-Creates talking points on topics including heart disease, stroke and AHA's major events such as Go Red for Women for speaking opportunities -Communication and Marketing tasks including working with sponsors to coordinate events, speaking opportunities on television and radio, PSA's for monthly topics, tips on various monthly topics including nutrition and obesity.

-Support marketing and advertising tasks including print advertisements for Go Red for Women and BetterU!-Update press releases and media pitches on key events for AHA including Start! Heart Walk and Gala Heartball.-Write letters to the editors based on current health issues including health care reform and childhood obesity -Coordinate interviews on community members and write relevant stories for internal and external publications.-Two Letters to the Editor published in local newspapers-Created and maintain AHA Greater Bay Area Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/AHA.GreaterBayArea)-Short story on AHA and Volunteer Efforts to promote February Heart Month published in the San Francisco Examiner Sunday Edition.
