District Trainer/Boutique Team Leader
Sales Lead
Night Auditor
Front desk supervision during shift, guest liaison and service provider. Execution of daily audit paperwork and computer procedures.
Executive Director
As the Executive Director, I am the CEO of The Wisconsin DECA Center, Inc. We are a non-profit entity of Wisconsin DECA formed with the intent to serve as the operations coordinator for this organization. My primary job duty (privilege) will be to plan the events for our state association of just over 13,000 students! For me, this career opportunity is not a "job," it is a labor of love and a dream come true!
Sales Associate
Assisting my team through friendly customer service, execution of daily directives and sales goals, and merchandising our store to help our customers have the best shopping experience possible.
Store Manager
This retailer afforded me the opportunity to really pursue my passion...developing my team to the next level. Shortly after my departure (to pursue developing my own family team), the person that I hired as an ASM (with no retail experience) was promoted to Store Manager!Job Description: Developing my team by supervising the division of responsibilities and driving results in a fast paced, high quantity volume store; timely execution of floor sets and daily inventory updating and merchandising in order to give our customers a clean, neat, and friendly shopping environment.
Assistant Store Manager
This position as an ASM could be compared to a district manager position with most retail companies. We had no acting store manager during my employment. As an ASM, I was leading a commission based sales staff of 15 to 20 people as well as managing the shipping and receiving department and alterations department of the store. In reality, this was similar to managing a district of approximately 15 to 20 stores, a production facililty and a company warehouse operation. The day to day was exciting and fast paced...never a dull moment. In the end, company philosophies on customer service were not inline with my personal beliefs and I struggled with finding a happy medium to excell in this environment.Job Description: Supervision of a commission based staff of sales associates, internal alterations department, and receiving department. Driving sales results through execution of attentive floor leadership.
Associate Manager
Love of the product and a connection to basic company mission transformed this management position into a "day with your best friends" every day! The environment at this $5K a year retail outlet was surprisingly a closeknit community of people that LOVED the company and the product! The average age of our customer was from 28 to 68 and so was the average age of our employee! As the head of team development, this presented me with exciting opportunity! I enjoyed everything I learned at Coldwater Creek and am very thankful that I was able to work in such a large volume retail outlet. I missed the position of "store manager," and left "The Creek" in pursuit of that type of position.Job Description: Customer service and sales, driving sales results in a high volume store, direct supervision of associates and sales leads, execution of all store operations including hiring associates, banking, opening and closing procedures, training of sales associates, and maintaining visual standards.
Store Manager
Pacsun was my first taste of retail! I was recruited into this position by a personal friend and I am still very thankful that I was given the opportunity (in retail) to grow my management and leadership skills. I began my career as an Assistant, being fast tracked to an Associate Manager position within the first 6 months. I was able to accomplish that and was promoted to help open a brand new Pacsun at the newly rennovated Mayfair Mall. Our store was projected to be the volume leader in the district within its first year...we didn't disappoint! Our location quickly became recognized as the "go to" store for our district. I was very proud to work on a management team comprised of varying personality types and ages that seemed to gel into a well oiled machine very quickly! It wasn't long before I established myself as a strong trainer. When the opportunity happened...I was promoted to lead store manager for the Brookfield Square location. My passion for team development was the primary reason for my promotion and a necessary part of my new role. Our store was in much needed TLC and rebuilding of its core staff. I was able to bring contacts from DECA and DEX on board and serve as mentor and co-operative education liason. This was my most important time of personal growth within the industry. I took a small, run down retail outlet and made it shine with organization from the inside out!Job Description: Customer service and sales, driving sales results, supervision of associates and management staff, supervision and execution of all store operations including banking, merchandising and inventory control.
