I am a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant with nearly two decades of experience in patient care. I have worked in various capacities as a policy analyst, project manager, and compliance officer for nearly ten years. My primary focus has been in American healthcare policy and how improving compliance strategies can positively impact clinics, providers, and ultimately improve patient care. I have experience working in healthcare I.T. support and project management. I have first hand experience implementing technology and seeing how data can be utilized to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of care for better patient outcomes.I have worked closely with lawmakers in the Colorado State legislature as a subject-matter expert in healthcare policy, and ran for office in 2020.I am a writer, and have articles published in print and online medical publications, and professional blogs on topics related to healthcare policy. I am also (more importantly) a fiction writer, with a book of short stories and two novels that are soon to be published. I am a private consultant with expertise in creating an online presence and targeted image with web design and social media marketing for small businesses and individuals.I love yoga, reading, and gardening... but most of all I love spending time with my family in beautiful Northern Colorado.
