My name is Holly Jorgensen and I recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design as a Film & TV major with a minor in producing for commercial media. I am focusing on editing which has been heavily influenced by my childhood. At the age of 10, I fell in love with YouTube videos and decided to create my own as I played with my dolls. I recorded made up stories and edited them by teaching myself Windows Movie Maker. In High School I filmed my own “music video” in order to attend a Performing Arts Academy where I was able to focus on Audio Engineering. Throughout my time there, I fell in love with leading tech crews and running soundboards for our plays and musicals while also interning for the Strand Theatre in Lakewood, New Jersey. I was able to tour with the RocknRoll Chorus as a stage hand as well and began freelancing at Harford Sound further down the line, working shows when possible. During my time at SCAD, I have fallen in love with all aspects of Post Production. I have used my audio experience to sound design a handful of projects for senior theses and film department workshops. I finished my senior year working on editing both picture and sound for some close friends’ theses. I enjoy being guided by Directors' visions and enhancing stories in post!Since graduation, I have returned to Harford Sound with an office position as Social Media Manager. I have edited teasers that preview some of the company's festival productions while also head spearing a multiple part documentary series for their 20th anniversary. Aside from film, I dabble in various hobbies including graphic design, motion media, photography, creative writing, and digital collages. Despite not being an expert with these mediums, I love setting aside some time to mess around with each subject! I have learned to love 35mm photography as well and have started to enjoy combining these photos with song lyrics or poems.
