Earned experience in: water sampling, laboratory preparation, laboratory testing, water sampling equipment installation, calibration of multiparameter data sondes, aquatic insect and crustacean collection, review of a scientific research report, community outreach, grant writing, and field pedagogy. Worked alongside the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition in preparation of community events, the development of a successful grant proposal to Western Reserve Land Conservancy and Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation (awarded $1,500 in October 2019), and assisted in the organization of the grant’s resulting project which kept my suggested title of “Lake Erie Starts Here." Worked alongside the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition and the Seneca Conservation District as a volunteer for the annual event Water Fest with the role of teaching participating children about and helped them collect aquatic organisms.
