This project was funded by a scholarship awarded for academic excellence by the Wellcome Trust. This post encompassed working not only in University of Aberdeen laboratories, but also at laboratories in Glasgow University and INRA (a commercial research facility located in Paris, France.)

Calgary Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Canada, and is integrally involved in many eco-projects to release animals back into the wild, as well as raising public awareness about various conservation projects globally. This job was a summer vacation post, working in the retail store to gain experience of working in a different country and interacting with a foreign culture.
