Led strategic communications for USAID's MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership project, led by Jhpiego, which focused on accelerating progress toward sustainable improvements in the health of women, children, and families. Worked across country programs and global health technical areas to highlight the impact of USAID’s investments to global and national audiences, including US Congress, ministries of health, donors, implementing partners, civil society organizations, and the American people. Worked closely with country governments and stakeholders to translate program data, results, and success stories into high quality communications deliverables that help to educate and create awareness of USAID’s investments. Identified opportunities to highlight project leadership, country programs, and data through the design of events, articles, digital/social media, and traditional media. Sought strategic partnerships to design collaborative communications and digital campaigns. MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership supports governments, country partners, and global initiatives to advance technical leadership and achieve goals around maternal, newborn, and child health, family planning, and reproductive health services.

Assisted in executing a strategic communications plan to promote USAID’s flagship Maternal and Child Survival program (MCSP), led by Jhpiego. Sought opportunities to highlight MCSP leadership, country programs, initiatives, products and results through featured articles, collateral, web and social media mediums to include high-visibility domestic and international events, meetings and conferences. Worked with events management, outreach and advocacy, and media.The Maternal and Child Survival Program was a global, USAID Cooperative Agreement that introduced and supported high-impact health interventions in 25 high-priority countries with the ultimate goal of ending preventable child and maternal deaths within a generation. The program focused on ensuring that all women, newborns and children most in need have equitable access to quality health care services to save lives.

Supported Communications for the Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition in the Global Health Bureau at USAID. Worked within the field of strategic communications on programming to improve maternal and child survival. Supported the development and launch of the Acting on the Call report, including developing the digital communications plan, assisting with layout, and supporting the launch event. Assisted with the management of social media presence for USAID’s work on maternal and child health and nutrition. Assisted with the development of materials, including fact sheets, web pages, and graphics, for an external audience describing USAID’s efforts to end preventable child and maternal deaths. Used existing raw materials to develop success stories on USAID beneficiaries around the world to be used for a Congressional audience.
