As a teacher of gifted learners and a gifted instructional specialist, I performed the following services: 1. Tailored instruction to fit the varied needs of hundreds of gifted learners according to each individualized learning plan. 2. Developed original instructional material designed to meet the social and emotional needs of identified gifted learners.3. Evaluated students using a variety of standardized and normed assessments including achievement, aptitude, motivational, and creativity instruments.4. Coordinated the education for hundreds of gifted learners; each learner having a plan developed based on their identified area of giftedness and self-reported interests and strengths. 5. Maintained official records including keeping the student information system current and coding identified students and courses in order to receive appropriate federal funding. 6. Coached teachers of gifted learners providing individualized support and tailored resources.7. Collaborated in class with regular education teachers to provided differentiation for gifted learners in real-time. 8. Guided school policy regarding the provision of instruction for and the identification of gifted learners. 9. Provided professional development designed to help the faculty and staff better meet the needs of students identified as gifted. 10. Governed expenditures for the gifted programming at the school level.
