Over the multiple years I have been freelancing, I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of medias. Whilst I began in graphic design – creating all kinds of products for print and digital – I have since moved into the motion world, not only video editing, but producing fully animated videos from scratch for social media, website and product launches.• Highly organised: Running my own business includes creating contracts, balancing my schedule, juggling multiple projects with varying deadlines and managing my company’s finances.• Efficient: Using my ability to pick up and work with different brands quickly, I match their style seamlessly.• Excellent communication: I have a decade of experience working with teams large and small, plus various third party vendors such as printers, translators, web developers, actors, animators, designers and project managers.• Team management: I am a team-player who can fit in on a moment’s notice but who is also happy to work independently. I have also organised photo and video shoots, briefed voice actors, and managed both interns and other freelancers.Clients include but are not limited to: Accenture, DesignHouse, TDS, We Are MBC, Opus Energy, BlueDog, International Tree Foundation, Lincolnshire County Council, London Transport Museum, Christie & Co., Williams Lea Tag, and BAM.

Instron gave me the opportunity to have my fingers in all of the design-related pies. As the only designer for our department, I was at the forefront of our marketing campaigns and saw ideas through from conception to completion. I specialised in idea generation and pushed the boundaries of all our creativeprojects: everything from brochure and exhibition design, coding webpages, to film, photography and animation.• My main focus: Creating videos which worked online and offline; to both inform, capture attention and generate sales leads. Present throughout the entire design process, I worked on everything from sourcing audio tracks and stock footage, to pitching storyboards and scheduling meetings, to recording audio, filming and directing actors on-camera.• Worldwide team: Whilst I had a small marketing team in the UK, I regularly collaborated with a team of designers and marketing managers across the globe. This was also key when working with translators to ensure our products were using the correct terminology.• Working with those outside of my expertise: I liased regularly with a number of engineering departments within the company to gain knowledge and understanding of a product.• Social media: I had a heavy involvement in our social media channels and created campaigns which raised awareness of social aspects and generated sales leads.

As the company’s first and only in-house designer, I designed everything from scratch and reformed the brand identity.• In this time I worked on all the print, digital, wall graphics, exhibition design, interactive presentations and motion graphics.• I also worked with external printers and alongside third party web developers in order to create the new company website.

Spending the first three years in-house on the Santander account, I worked on a wide variety of design within a wonderful team. I then transferred to the London office in order to work on new accounts (such as Acer, Booking.com, Emirates, Herbal Essences, Colgate, Compeed, Heinz and HSBC) to further expand my design skills and broaden my horizons.• Worked on a vast array of design products which included all printed items, infographics, social media, illustration, magazine design, above and below the line advertising, website mock-ups, digital banners,interactive PDFs and storyboarding for animation and motion design.• Briefed freelancers on new projects.• Worked in person both agency side and client-facing.

Whilst freelancing I worked on some wonderful brands such as Audi, Whitbread, Laura Ashley, Debenhams, Barclays and Santander, at great companies; BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), Communisis and Hogarth. I was required to do artwork for print, image retouching, layout design, illustration and more. I was very happy to settle in at a moments notice and felt confident and comfortable working in teams as well as alone.

At Thunder Design I was required to produce artwork and graphic design for a number of different companies including blue-chip brands such as Carita, Décleor and Yves Saint Laurent. I have worked on sales presenters, posters, brochures, leaflets, Flash advertisements, image retouching in Adobe Photohop, as well as drawing vector graphics from scratch in Adobe Illustrator. This job welcomed me into the studio environment and taught me about creating for print as well as refreshing and sharpening my skills across the Adobe Suite.

As my first creative job, my duties involved creating displays of all different aspects (from fashion mannequins to BBQ’s), creating display signage for various departments using programs such as Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and using the vinyl plotter program; Composer. I was trained to use the company’s budget program, ‘Wires’, in order to keep track of the department’s expenditure. I also on took further responsibilities such as creating floor plans and liaising with department’s Managers to promote their stock.
