As a laboratory technician in R&D, I supported projects focusing on ALB Li-salts and cathode chemistries. Tasks included learning cathode synthesis, characterizing Li-salts and cathode materials, and building half cells for testing. This hands-on experience enhanced my skills in the battery industry, from raw materials to electrochemical performance of Li-ion batteries. Collaborating closely with senior scientists and engineers, I gained invaluable insights into the intricate processes involved in developing next-generation energy storage solutions. My role also involved meticulous data analysis and interpretation, ensuring that the results were accurate and reliable. This comprehensive exposure not only bolstered my technical expertise but also honed my problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, crucial traits for advancing in the dynamic field of battery technology.

At York Technical College I have taught a basic chemistry course specific to non-majors. The course material covers general chemistry subjects as well as some material in organic chemistry and biochemistry.

As the laboratory chemist at Winthrop University, I managed all teaching lab set ups and supplies. That included working with equipment and instrumentation for the following labs: general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, and physics. I handled all hazardous waste for the department by ensuing correct storage of waste and labeling of the waste. I also ordered many of the supplies and chemicals for not only the teaching labs and stockroom but also for the research laboratories. I was able to supervise student employees that worked as my assistants and help guide them as they prepare for their future after college.

I taught one section of the chemistry 104 course at Winthrop University. This is a general chemistry course that covers material such as units and dimensional analysis, subatomic particles, electronic structure and chemical periodicity, chemical bonds and molecular structure, chemical nomenclature, mole concepts and stoichiometric calculations, states of matter, intermolecular forces, energy, gas laws, solutions, acid-base chemistry, and oxidation-reduction chemistry.

Teaching two general chemistry labs.

One of the 150 interns selected out of over 800 applicants. Only intern in the Wasterwater Laboratory. Tested wastewater samples for ammonia in the Nutrients Lab. Prepared and calibrated ammonia standards. Reported results daily on LIMS according to lab procedure and also prepared a hard copy to be given to the lab manager. Used an Orion 920 A+ which contains an ion selective electrode ammonia probe.

Encouraged peers to take on better study habits, conceptual learning, and giving them deeper understanding of the material learned in class. In hopes to be able to exceed in their general level chemistry courses and the rest of their college career.

A summer camp counselor for 3.5 years as well as positions in after school care, child watch, and kid zone when needed. I worked on breaks from school and during summer months. Working with children taught me to think quickly and sufficiently in order to keep the children safe while still having fun and engaging. I worked with children of all ages from 6 months to 13 years old allowing me to learn many different needs each age requires.
