Founded in 2009 by Paul Brooks and Kelly Marsden, Twile is a visual timeline bringing your family history to life. My Initial involvement in the project goes back to 2012. Paul is a great friend and I was asked to help out with a few technical requirements in the evenings. The Website began to gain some traction and shortly after gaining investment Paul asked if I would join the company full time. For obvious reasons, this wasn't an easy decision, but the opportunity to be involved in a start-up at ground level was just too compelling to turn down.As the Lead Developer within a small team, my responsibilities extend beyond the full development life-cycle to include product strategy and analytics. Whilst my main focus is to write code, I'm also solely responsible for continuous delivery environment, server platform and most architectural decisions.

Based in the centre of Wigan BD2 is a long established digital agency whose creative and communications led approach combined with a commercially aware attitude has led to their ongoing success. I joined the company to expand the existing team and when required, act as Lead Developer on large projects. During my employment, I was solely responsible for several large e-commerce solutions in the B2B space, all of which often involved complex data import routines from Sage. I also became the resident UI Developer completing many responsive and SPA applications.Being a friendly approachable chap I quickly became an integral member of the company. In addition to code delivery, I would often help out the more junior developers and support non-technical staff in client meetings.

Getting Personal are an online eCommerce company specialising in personalised products. I was brought into an existing team to help support the maintenance of a classic ASP solution, several back office applications and to develop a new .Net website. During my employment I was responsible for several significant projects including our build environment and continuous integration solution. Fully automated cross platform UI testing suit using the Selenium library. An automated data export solution for the warehouse management software. Order tracking system and the integration of an optimised product delivery suit though FredHopper providing effective browse, search, filter and order features.In January 2011 I was promoted to Team Leader and successfully delivered the new .Net platform.

A Local Web Development Agency specialising in high-end, data-driven solutions. And Then There Was Light demonstrated an impressive portfolio mixing clever and intuitive functionality with creative design. My main responsibilities were the creation of websites using classic ASP, VB Script and MySQL. In the last 18 months, I took on a lead developer role working a single project for a leading company in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. The solution was to be my first multi-tiered .NET project with a SQL database.

Established in 2000 Katatomic is a multidisciplinary web development agency based in Macclesfield. In 2002 I joined the company as a New Business consultant working directly with the MD to create new business whilst maintaining and developing old accounts. Being small team the company often utilised my web design abilities. This included some Flash integration on the SUBWAY website but principally ASP, HTML and database development creating new additions on current websites. Some of the projects I was most proud of include a recruitment process for Cerco IT, a new training product for David Platt and a handful of automated applications for BestQuote Europe Ltd.
