Project work included modifications to existing deteriorated concrete slabs, replacement of the concrete foundations supporting the downstream wall, removing the approximately 200ft by 30ft downstream wall and erecting new steel framing. Kelsey designed a temporary cofferdam to dewater the tailrace during construction. She also calculated the wind loads to be used in the design of the new wall and the assessment of the existing roof trusses, as well as checked miscellaneous other calculations for the design.• Performing a weekly download and initial review of the data from the instrumentation in the Automated Data Acquisition System at Santeetlah Development. The instrumentation includes visual monitoring, deformation monitoring (survey, inclinometers, and extensometers), piezometers, thermistors, crack gages, seepage gages, and reservoir and tailwater level monitoring devices.
