As the Safety Director for Katerra East, Gary Holtzman is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating organizational safety programs. He is a partner and collaborator to leadership teams, often devising fresh solutions to challenging problems via a blend of historical industry knowledge and a current understanding of new technologies. Gary reviews and updates institutional Health, Safety and Environmental policies with a keen eye on the practical application and implementation in the field. Conduct building and site inspection on behalf of insurance underwriters to verify information and assess risk. Daily responsibilities include scheduling, travel, recording site observations and measurements, identification of potential hazards in accordance with customer specific risk criteria, and creation of Loss Control Reports (LCR) providing recommendations which addressing potential risk exposure. Areas of expertise include general liability, property, homeowners, garage keeper, worker’s compensation, restaurants, liquor liability and mixed use property. OSHA 10 Construction certification. Over 14,000 inspections performed to date.
