A new Operational Support System / Business Support System (OSS/BSS) is being designed and developed for Scarlet. The goal of this project is to simplify the business processes and to have a flexible system in place. As a team of 4 people, we describe and analyze the business processes, suggest possible simplifications, design and develop software for supporting these processes. In this project, I am participating in the whole process of analysis, design, and development of the new OSS/BSS system. This system is replacing existing systems that are less flexible and more expensive in maintenance and licenses. We have also introduced a more robust and future enabled architecture for software development within the organization. Designed and developed a license framework in the core component of one of the world’s leading IT companies (HP-OpenView). This framework will be used by the different HP-OpenView products to develop their license model! Used this framework to implement the specifics of the license model in the IT Service Management product (HP-OpenView Service Desk 5.0) the company was going to bring to the market by the end of 2005. This is one of the world’s leading IT Service Management products currently existing. In short, the licensing model was developed in two parts. First, a licensing framework was developed in a core component that is going to be used by different products based on that component.
