Working as part of the ANZSOG Research team to deliver custom research and advisory projects for the Australian and New Zealand governments across a range of key issues in public policy and practice. Undertaking a range of duties, including project management, the design and delivery of reports and executive education, preparing submissions and briefs, engaging stakeholders across government, academia and the non-for-profit sector, and supporting organisational strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation. Working as a member of the Foundation Partner - University of Queensland Institute of Social Science Research, Australia New Zealand School of Government, and Collaboration for Impact - for the scoping and establishment of the National Centre for Place Base Collaboration (Nexus Centre). Working collaboratively to engage government, communities, the non-for-profit sector, and other stakeholders to iteratively co-design the infrastructure for place-based approaches. This includes developing a business case for the Nexus Centre and blueprint, policy brief and practice guide for place-based models.

Worked as a member of the Royal Australian Navy’s research centre to support the delivery of strategic policy advice, maritime doctrine, and contribution to public debate. Duties included preparing research reports, ministerial briefs and strategic advice, responding to internal and external inquiries, assessing government funded research grants, and directing the centre’s research interns.

Supported the coordination of the university’s research-based internship program. Duties included providing policy and academic advice to students, evaluating student performance, stakeholder mapping and engagement, and administrative support.

Planed and conducted research to complete an original, self-led research project and thesis. Performed a range of duties, including project management, fieldwork, presenting findings, and preparing written work for publication. My thesis examined the continuity in how Australia’s political elite approached foreign policy, focusing on the economic, defensive and diplomatic aspects of the national interest and how these elements shape Australia’s relations with its Asia-Pacific neighbours.

Conducted a range of duties to support the delivery of undergraduate university courses, including preparing teaching materials, managing course policies and enforcing necessary procedures, and evaluating student performance.

Acted as a member of the Editorial Board for an academic peer reviewed journal. Performed a range of duties, including review submitted manuscripts, advising on journal policy and scope, and managing the agenda and meetings of the Editorial Board.
