Hone is an experienced television executive and journalist who has a wide range of experience in television news reporting and directing and producing programmes in current affairs, children's programming and documentaries. His strengths are in television journalism and production.He was the presenter / interviewer in the documentary "Swoop of the Cormorant" that went to air on Māori Television ANZAC Day 2010 and he completed directing another documentary commissioned for Māori Television looking at the anomalies and the misuse of the pōwhiri, the traditional Māori welcome within state sector agencies. He has been a Commissioning Editor of children's programming, documentaries and light entertainment at Maori Television. Hone takes on media consultancy practice and communications work for broadcasters, production companies and other parties who require his expertise.
