Using C# and Microsoft.NET – based technologies to develop a comprehensive multi-tier software framework including open-source web information retrieval and archiving in MS SQL Server & NoSQL databases, dashboards, reporting, and visual & spatial analytics:- Working as a software architect and a programmer analyst in various projects: the Humanitarian Early Warning System (HEWS) project of the World Food Program (UN WFP), the Hazard Detection and Risk Assessment (HDRAS) project of the UN WHO, the Early Alerting and Reporting (EAR) project of the Global Health Security Initiative, and the Continental Early Warning System of the African Union. Main tasks: design and develop a collaborative web information system on top of .NET Content Management Systems and advanced web 2.0 architectures such as Restful web services, Web API, and interactive web user interfaces which enable humanitarian personnel to monitor social media and open-source web information and detect early humanitarian threats.- Reviewing regularly ICT-technological advances in the field of web information systems, and contribute to the preparation technical manuscripts.- Key achievements: (1) The HEWS platform is being applied to WFP’s overall early warning/emergency response processes, (2) The EAR platform is being used regularly by public health agencies of all member countries of the G7 group to perform optimal detection of health events and provide early warnings with respect to emerging chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incidents, (3) The HDRAS platform has been implemented and deployed in the WHO headquarters, (4) A number of published scientific and technical manuscripts describing information system architectures.
