Completing a double major in Economics and Mathematics during my undergraduate studies, I developed a working framework for concepts concerning strategic decision-making, rational analysis, and statistical applications. Besides, I establish a foundation of solid quantitative skills (including Python, MATLAB, SQL and R) as well. Apart from these essential abilities, I gained leadership and communication skills from three years’ experience of being an orientation program staffer, international students’ mentor, and peer assistant in Economics Learning Center. I built an open-minded, inclusive community for my mentees and peers. I also let them know that if they wanted to be part of the school or even join other diverse communities, the most important thing to remember is that we should be brave and courageous enough to embrace others and welcome them with open arms. I am proud of the community I built at UCI, as my peers were always willing to embrace others, no matter their backgrounds, religions, or other differences. Most importantly, we accepted and cherished everyone’s uniqueness. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time cooking, and particularly like making different desserts, such as Brownies, Red Velvet Cake, Cheese Cake, and more. I love the experimental process of cooking, and often use it to try and replicate restaurant dishes at home. I always feel a sense of achievement when I make tasty food for my family and friends.
