This act included establishing and updating a number of minimum training standards for law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth and developing a comprehensive, statewide, long-range plan for strengthening and improving law enforcement and the administration of criminal justice throughout the Commonwealth, and periodically update that plan. The bill also included a focus on improving community police relations. This social justice focused bill was the primary blueprint for Attorney General Mark Herring’s guidance for local police departments.• Introduced HB2390 that would have created a regional Infrastructure Investment Fund that would provided a diversified portfolio for investors to spur economic development for projects found viable for investment by the fund managers. This would allow for fund managers to consider not only financial returns, but also economic impact.• Sponsored a host bills focusing on the state infrastructure fund, various Veteran’s issues, and reforming healthcare in Virginia.• Created quarterly Veteran Resource fairs that provided thousands of vets with job opportunities, mental health screenings, and assistance with claims.
