Technology Support Specialist
CurrentIn my role at the Winchester School System, I am responsible for the management of assets utilizing JamF and providing IT support to a middle school as well as three elementary schools. All support tickets submitted by staff from these institutions are routed to me via incidentIQ, and it is my duty to ensure their resolution. The variety of issues I address includes those related to Epson Printers, Chromebooks, MacBooks, Windows computers, printer software, Google Suite accounts and Cloud Backup. Furthermore, I participate in the implementation of major technology deployment projects across these schools. For verification of my professional capabilities and the quality of my work, you may contact my supervisor, Rowan Marcus, at rmarcus@winchesterps.org.Some of my other responsibilities:-Accurately track District staff problems and requests in the HelpDesk ticketing system to ensure responsive follow-up and completion of assigned tasks.-Set up, configure, and deploy new or rebuilt workstations.-Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair existing workstations and related hardware.-Support State Testing throughout the District for end-user support.-Respond to and collaborate in resolving Helpdesk tickets-Problem analysis, research (where required), and resolution for end users, including hardware, operating system, and software for laptops and desktops. Additional supported hardware includes printers, copiers, projectors, and other A/V equipment.-Work collaboratively with other IT personnel in the Technology Department.-Advocate and adhere to the IT strategies, hardware and software standards, security policies, and operational procedures of the Technology Department and the District to ensure policies are consistently applied to all schools in the district.-Maintain a clean, safe work area and professional appearance.-Other duties as defined by the Director of Finance & Operations or his/her designee.
