This involves identifying and assessing the needs of vulnerable individuals displaying mental health concerns in court, and working closely with a wide range of partners to ensure that these individuals have access to the right health and social care services.A main function of our court work is the preparation of reports to provide the judiciary vital information to help with decisions about bail and remand. This helps to avoid unnecessary prison disposals where bail decisions or a community sentence would be more appropriate, again giving individuals the best chance of breaking the cycle of offending.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team communicating with, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external agencies in order to provide the highest levels of support to those who are struggling with finding accommodation on release. This also includes meeting with clients face-to-face, completing assessments, referrals and trying to meet their needs the best you can.

Also ensuring effective risk management and assessment, as it can be up to 26 residents and 2 members of staff within a building through the night.
