- Provide high quality researches and analyses on local and national political and economic issues to Consul General and the Political Section of the Consulate. Also, generate analyses on the US foreign policies, with particular focus on Asia-Pacific region. - Conduct political, economic and social impact studies on international events of bi/multilateral relations in Asia-Pacific to complement talking points for the Consul General and Political Consuls. - Serve as primary speechwriter, translator, and editor at Consulate for speeches in English, with notable projects include speeches by Korean President, Speaker of National Assembly, and Consul General’s addresses to PA General Assembly in 2012 and 2013.- Serve as main English content provider for Consulate’s official website and social network outreach initiative.- Organize academic and cultural events as part of Korean government’s public diplomacy initiative by means of managing budget and operating as lead negotiator for CG: notable projects include 60th Anniversary Concert for Korea-US Alliance at Lincoln Center with Korean Consulate’s largest recorded attendance, Nuclear Security Panel Discussion that gained international press coverage, and “King of Joseon in NY” at the MET. - Assist in major VIP events by serving as key point of contact and negotiate, such as Presidential visits in 2011 and 2013, Prime Minister’s visit in 2012, Speaker of Assembly in 2012 and various visits by Ministers and National Assembly Members.
