For 10 years I ran a bespoke boarding facility specifically for Rabbits & Guinea Pigs. It was run 24/7 and very sucessful, but due to work life balance, and unable to get full planning permission on land we bought, I am now concentrating on new design pet play hides and tunnels, made in the UK. IP being a pivotal key to sucess having had several products copied by the dreaded Far East!My background is in sales and marketing. I had a sucessful career sourcing and selling product to QVC for many years, curtailed when I had children.I lived in Jersey in the channel Islands for 8 years. I set up a new divison selling pallet racking - made sense and it was a great life. For the last 5 years I worked for a bespoke mortgage company, setting up mortgages & linking insurance. Inbetween jobs I went travelling for 6 months to India, Nepal & Sri Lanka - there's nothing like living life!I sold italian pallet racking in the UK. I wanted to work for Dexion and interviewed at an agency - the fellas were late or didn't turn up! They couldn't give me the job - no women in sales policy - hard to beleive in this day and age!I sold ancillary equipment for plastic injection moulding machines. Great job, especially when you actually knew what you were talking about.In my youth I was a tool setter for several years working on plastic injection moulding machines. A job I loved, but you became very hardened in the environment you worked in.
