Responsible for leading a team of 30 people ensuring the capabilities and readiness of 57 shipboard medical departments providing care to over 10,000 service members. This is accomplished through routine visits and inspections ensuring compliance with all requirements ensuring the medical mission is maintained and all medical departments are wartime capable and ready. Maintaining manning and getting billets filled for both expected and unexpected losses for Medical Readiness Division and all subordinate commands is a primary mission. Also responsible as a project manager and, at times, a team lead for projects. Responsible for managing the Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman Program for 56 medical providers validating credentials and providing criteria are maintained.

Directly lead, mentor, and coach 30 Sailors in daily operations and the achievement of future goals. Indirectly lead, mentor, and coach over 150 medical personnel responsible for running all ship board and operational medical departments under the command of CNSL. Completing periodic performance evaluations of staff, approving time off, and submitting high performers for awards and other recognition are included in my responsibilities.

Independent Duty Corpsman

Resident Advisor, Technical Expert, and Senior Assessor for MSC surface vessel medical departments.

Independent deployment in the Pacific Fleet with locations including Hawaii, Guam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Guadalcanal, Seychelles, Bahrain, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean.
