U.S. advisor to the Global Environment Facility (GEF), a multilateral family of funds currently operating the $5.33 billion GEF-8 replenishment dedicated to confronting biodiversity loss, climate change, pollution, and supporting land and ocean health. Programming takes an integrated approach to sustainable food systems, forest health, and cities. The GEF serves as financial mechanism to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, Minamata Convention on Mercury, and Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement.
