Current• Radio Network Planning (2G/3G) including initial parameter design, nominal cell planning, coverage prediction using NetAct Planner and Optimizer. Work order generation for new sites, upgrade and site rehoming, TSS and site survey validation, Manage process from nominal site design to final site acceptance. Access Planning • Radio Network Optimization including KPI statistics monitoring, performance improvement recommendations, parameter consistency checking, fault finding and troubleshooting, coverage and capacity redesign proposals and strategic optimization trials. New sites and existing sites optimization include improvement in TCH, SDCCH drops and other drops due to quality or coverage issues. Drive test analysis and recommendations. Initial optimization of network such as antenna system verification for antenna types, tilts, azimuth, verification of jumpers and feeders, checking VSWR meter, power measurement. • Antenna Parameters Optimization planning for new sites and frequency audit for existing sites such as: azimuth changes, (electrical/mechanical tilt, antenna swap) Neighbor optimization to improve internal and external (inter BSC and Inter MSC) HO success rate, LAC plan for optimum utilization of BSC capacity and reduce LAC update. Primary optimization for verification of existing coverage, site design objectives, pointing coverage holes. Generation of Coverage predictions, Co-channel/Adj-channel interference area plots, Suggestions to improve the coverage by skewing sectors, Down tilt/ Up tilt or by using better gain antennas• Capacity Management and dimensioning Densification Study based on Capacity and coverage, Monitoring site capacity and propose forecast for upgrades and new site integration with respect to trend in traffic. Plan network capacity improvements based on subscriber forecast, market call models and trending of performance and traffic data then recommending the search area and potential candidate selection.
