My primary responsibility is to screen electronic health records from hospitals across Louisiana for reportability according to criteria set by the Louisiana Tumor Registry. I screen about 1000 cases a week, utilizing a multitude of online resources to determine reportability as well as primary site and histology codes to ensure accurate reporting, and enter data into the SEER*DMS system.

As a supervisor, I oversaw intramural programming, resolved conflicts or disagreements that may have arisen between players, and provided support for the officials when necessary. Communicating clear gameplay expectations with players and coworkers was a necessity to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.

My primary duties included making recruitment calls to potential participants for the IMPACTS study, an implementation of blood pressure best practices research, to inform individuals about the study and determine baseline eligibility. In this role, I recruited roughly 40 participants and was recognized by a Senior Research Coordinator as one of the most effective and most productive student recruiters. Additionally, I performed various other tasks for the IMPACTS study, including entering data into the RedCap reporting system and reporting errors in data collection forms

As a research intern, I collected data on COVID-19 cases and deaths by county and input data in an aggregate spreadsheet. This task was performed daily for over 150+ counties utilizing state health department websites as well as news reporting sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.

My primary resposibility was working with three assigned students in kindergarten and first grade to improve their reading skills through reading and writing activities.
