Ensured intellectual and physical control and order for 18 boxes of materials.

Worked in the European Division of the Library of Congress with Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish-language materials. Prepared serial units for shipment to bindery by collating titles, preparing digital bindery tickets, and creating and updating bibliographic item records and holdings summaries in ILS. Used ABLE bindery software and Ex Libris Voyager ILS.

Examined and compared donated materials to existing ones to consider for addition to the library collection. Assisted in maintaining and shelving academic serials. Assisted in pulling serials for binding and updating status in Ex Libris Aleph Integrated Library System. Performed minor conservation repairs on the binding and inner leaves of books.

Conducted research for senior thesis on B. Z. Goldberg and his political relationship to the Soviet Union and the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee. This research included examining documents from the Ben-Zion Goldberg Papers from the Katz Center for the Advanced Judaic Studies in Philadelphia, PA. Throughout the summer the research fellows gathered together.

Examined how their community involvement influenced Salisbury’s politics, economy, and welfare systems. Interviewed local Rabbi about the history of Salisbury’s synagogue and Judaism’s spread throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
