I reported/ presented on the latest news. Researched, planned, wrote, produced, reported on top stories from the African continent. I occasionally video edited my own stories. I was in-charge of setting up interviews for my packages/feature stories.

I was in-charge of Sub-editing/ correcting news packages and scripts sent in by our Correspondents. I converted print media stories from news sources such as AFP and Reuters into in-house packages. I ensured that all scripts were well written before they went on air. Monitored and wrote breaking News if need be. Tasked with assisting the Line producer (Programme Editor) come up with a good bulletin. Wrote the Presenter’s introduction and questions. Went to the control room to ensure that stories prepared on the rundown went hand in hand with the Presenter’s intro’s on camera. Ensured that all News straps were with no error thus giving the CG team in the gallery a go ahead to play them on air. I translated soundbites, went to the field to produce, write and report on various news stories. Liaised and Cued in our correspondents with the Control room and the News Presenter during live News coverage.

I was in-charge of Sub-editing/ correcting Sports news packages and scripts sent in by CGTN Correspondents. Researched on breaking news on news wires such as AFP and Reuters. Converted print news into in-house TV packages for CGTN's Sports Scene and Match Point Sports shows. Liaised with the Interview Producers and Guest booking desk so as to ensure we had guests to speak on our shows. Ensured that CGTN's correspondents were briefed on their questions before they went on air and set up live links with them. Guest booking: took part in recording and preparing our guests for our shows.
