Lead Sports, Creative activities and Outdoor Adventure activities for 3-16 holiday activities at Penryn College during their EdVenture Summer programme. Worked as a team to deliver a successful programme to over 2,000 children.

Sports Event match day lead which is responsible for managing the match day experience, SDC staff, Team managers and Event Volunteers for Loughborough Lightning Vitality Netball SuperLeague and Loughborough Lightning Rugby. Also, Event Lead for external sports teams such as Derby County FC U23. This requires me to work collaboratively, plan, deliver and reflect critically on large scale events.

I took on the responsibility to lead, assist and mentor across the age, 5-18 and ability range within Physical Education, Health, Sport Science and Science classes. I developed schemes of work including the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) Sport Science curriculum including lab work and practical classes. I would assist and deliver sessions before and after school at the Junior and Senior School within Netball, Hockey, Tennis, Basketball, Rowing, Softball and Swimming. Throughout my placement, the Heads of Sport would also give me additional responsibility. The Head of Netball allowed me to coach and umpire a netball team at an external netball club, Colonel Light Gardens; as well as the Head of Sport allowing me to assist with the planning and delivery of the Swimming Carnival at the Junior and Senior School.I was also a part of the extended stay programmes that Scotch offers such as the 9@Scotch programme and Year 11 Leadership week. My role was to support student’s wellbeing on the camp by developing positive relationships and encouraging open communication. I would assist the boarding house during mealtimes, private study and boarding house sport, and activities, to ensure the highest level of care for all boarders.

Engaging and empowering groups of young adults to help them develop life skills by setting physical and mental challenges in a variety of settings to help them to grow in confidence. Creating a forum and developing a local community project for young people to show resilience, independence and teamwork to achieve beyond their expectations.

Taught Ballet, Pointe, Tap and Modern Dance to girls and boys aged 4-17. I had to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ varying needs for example, different ages, behavioural issues and disabilities. I had to be flexible depending on how many young people showed up to dance class. Communication was key to provide them with comfort, encouragement and positive feedback. This was seen present during the dance shows at the Princess Pavilions which I helped choreograph and organise and RAD and ISTD exams every term.
