Under employment of Marine Corps Community Services I was promoted from the cashier to the customer service desk, and then was chosen for the new department development staff. We developed the Military Ticket Office at Camp Elmore Norfolk, Virginia. A few highlighted duties that developed my personal growth during this employment included:• Established communications and contracting through local vendors to obtain stock for sale.• Filed marketing and merchandise orders through MTP installed on POS.• Developed/received marketing materials for our sales office and venues for promotional events.• Conducted end of day sales reports and end of month reports, analysing gross/net profit margins and specific inventory revenue to calculate priority vendor marketing.A generalised description of all tasks are listed as follows: Customer Service, POS operations of many different systems, cash handling, register proofing, vendor communications and contracting, fulfilling 3rd party sales for contracted vendors, merchandising, inventory, invoice production and reporting, promotional marketing, merchandise security, floor plan design, warehouse organization, data entry, sales reports, NAVMC 604 Uniform redemption, controlled substance screening, following up with all of guests questions for the department store, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, scheduling and event planning, event hosting, producing marketing materials and informational pamphlets for promotion, social media operations, producing administrative assistance documents, weekly briefing on production of sales to fine tune marketing practices, office equipment operations, office equipment orders, security practices for office and inventory assets, closing responsibilities.Reason for leaving: Relocation
