Current• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.• Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. • Ensures work environments are adequate and safe. • Ensures each department is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership. • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and staff; for major changes, meets with entire staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.• Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes. • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community. • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
