Assist with the production of the Neighborhood Sports Showdown television show which showcases sports not traditionally covered by mainstream media. The identification of organizations working towards impacting lives through bridging the gap between athletics and education is critical to the mission of the organization. Also, the identification of crew members who bring talents, are willing to learn, and support the mission of the organization is critical. These factors allow the intersection athletics and education which results in a television program capable empowering and speaking to the hearts of the community.

PHILLY COLLEGE SIGNING DAYCollege Signing Day is a national initiative geared towards celebrating the accomplishments of high school seniors. The decision for many seniors to pursue education after high school is highlighted. The Philadelphia event features local and national talent, speeches, and recognition. The coordination of all moving parts is essential for a smooth citywide event.

As a High School representative I presented creative careers presentations geared towards high school students. Responsibilities included: presenting information to high school students, engaging them about their creative interests and walking them through the steps necessary to connect with our campus to learn more and apply for admission to the college, developing and maintaining relationships with high school teachers and administrators, developing strategic partnerships and alliances necessary to reach personal and departmental goals.

Presenting to traditional and non-traditional prospective student populations for the purpose of igniting an interest in pursuing higher education is a key component of the role of the Admissions Counselor. Other responsibilities include the creation and implementation of strategic recruitment plans, maintain relationships with local high schools and organizations, work with prospective students (traditional, non-traditional, and marginalized populations) through the application process, read and analyze applications for admission, and generate decision letters. Enrollment has increased and the population has become more diverse as a result of these efforts.

As a marketing assistant my duties include the creation of departmental marketing plans and developmentof marketing materials. Targeted campaigns to prospective students have been executed. A student telemarketing team was created. As the creator and manager of that team, an operations and procedures manual was created which includes scripts, office procedures, explanations and examples of marketing, branding, and the enrollment funnel. Telling stories and capturing testimonials is vital to marketing. In the marketing role I am responsible for producing videos of graduates capturing their success stories. The result of these efforts has been increased brand recognition and engagement. In addition, I serve as stage management for the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast and Conference and staff photographer at various in-house events.

Develop a social media plan to market the college to designated target markets. The implementation of this plan includes the creation of content (ads, videos, and articles) and management of the sites. Users have increased substantially and engagement is better than or equal to that of other institutions of higher education.

Duties include the creation of strategic partnerships with high schools, GED centers, churches, para-church organizations, community organizations, businesses, and college access and success organizations.These partnerships have resulted in the branding and marketing of Esperanza College beyond the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia, the implementation of programs designed to give traditional students exposure to college culture through specialized programming and workshops, increased support from businesses for the working non-traditional population, and the implementation of a dual-enrollment program.

Responsibilities included the management of photographic and marketing teams, hired staff, conducted professional photographic and sales training sessions, developed procedures that increased efficiency and revenue. I was recognized for exceeding goals and invited to meet with the owner on several occasions to discuss best practices.
