In this role, I worked with teams across the region and globally to develop and implement strategic communication plans to address a wide variety of marketing, corporate, government and public affairs needs. This included a range of services, including: providing strategic counsel;  developing marketing communications and promotional campaigns; creating corporate social responsibility programs;  identifying key stakeholder groups and initiating partnership discussions on behalf of clients;  conducting media and presentation skills training;  designing and implementing crisis and issues management programs; and marketing and business planning for corporate and product-focused clients. My clients spanned a number of industry sectors, including automotive, energy, banking and financial services, government, healthcare, manufacturing, travel/tourism and technology. In terms of geographic coverage, my clients were based in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Middle East and had a regional or global focus. This allowed me to draw on my extensive international experience to reach audiences in markets from India to Japan to Australia. I also led client requests from Ruder Finn offices in the US and Europe, ensuring strong, relevant Asia-Pacific communication programs that meet the needs and high expectations of clients based in those traditionally strong communication markets.In addition to my client management role, I managed day-to-day operations for the Singapore and Hong Kong offices, reporting to the regional president and with direct responsibility for both markets. I managed a team of 20 communication professionals in the two markets.

In my role as managing director of Burson-Marsteller's Asia-Pacific healthcare practice, I was responsible for developing and managing the healthcare team across the agency's network of offices; well as its affiliate network. Key client relationships included: HP, Jeju (Korea) Development Corporation, Monsanto, Novartis, Singapore Tourism Board and the United Nations Environment Program.

I was responsible for new business development as well as strategic planning and cross-market coordination and implementation of government reimbursement initiatives; stakeholder mapping and engagement programs; issues and crisis management training and response implementation; and product marketing plans for all healthcare clients in Ruder Finn's offices in Beijing; Sydney; as well as the company's extensive affiliate network.

In this role I worked with regional and local teams to secure new business and develop and implement strategic marketing and corporate reputation management plans. I was responsible for a range of clients, most notably planning and managing regional marketing initiatives for all healthcare clients as well as a major technology client and regional corporate reputation and marketing initiatives for a major energy company, both for day-to-day issues, crises and during the merger of their parent companies. This role saw me planning and implementing plans across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with a primary focus on Asia. I also served as regional lead for H&K's global corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.; My primary role was to assess the viability of our operations in Taiwan, based on our consulting ability, current client base, reputation in the community and overall economic climate in Taiwan. Despite strong resistance from the global executive committee, recommended and implemented office closure. While not a popular decision at the time, hindsight led the same members of the global committee to applaud our read of the market.

My role included new business targeting and acquisition; planning and implementation of brand marketing initiatives; crisis and issues management counsel and management of five staff members.

My work here included support business development initiatives and presentations as well as client program development and implementation. While at H&K New York I managed one of the most successful antibiotic launches in the industry.

My role was product marketing support for pharmaceutical products. My work at Medicus included an award-winning integrated marketing campaign, The Difference in a Woman's Heart, which raised awareness of the risks and symptoms of heart disease in women.

My role focused on marketing support for real estate and construction clients.
