PSCI 2302: History of Political Thought

I support Dr. Shawna Chen with her research on entrepreneurship with ENTRaction. I am responsible for using research findings to create engaging content for the public and stakeholders, in an effort to bridge research and business practice.

I use graphic design, communication, social media algorithms strategies to increase social media engagement with clients, prospective clients, community partners, investors and government. This also includes an array of marketing campaigns targeting specific audiences to our wide range of programs and services.In addition to using my digital marketing skills to amplify the company's brand, activities, and reach new audiences, I support senior executives by organizing, facilitating and completing a wide range of projects. This has ranged from event planning to grant writing, building partnerships with external stakeholders, copywriting and more.

I create communications strategies for Spark to reach a wide range of audiences to promote our programs, workshops, summer camps, mission and values. This variety of marketing and communication strategies focus on building and strengthening relationships with community partners, investors, municipal and regional government.

In this role, I was responsible for conducting market research analysis of economic development, necessity, impact and style of startup business incubators in the Niagara Region and across Canada. This also included research of various technological education programs and their impact followed by an analysis of how Spark Niagara can design unique and impactful programming to increase economic empowerment and development. In result, Spark Niagara was prepared to create unique systems, programs, summer camps and workshops and provide an innovative ecosystem of like-minded entrepreneurs in the Niagara Region.

I help students find meaningful employment by building confidence in students to explore new career opportunities and market themselves effectively in a competitive job market. I also help students realize their full potential by working with them one on one to enhance their resumes, cover letters, CVs and online profiles, giving them a competitive edge.

In this role, I support the development and delivery of leadership programs and activities at Brock University. I work to support student leaders on-campus and look for new ways to engage and develop leadership. I am the project lead of the Niagara Student Leadership Summit and am responsible for developing a strategy of project execution including a timeline, facilitation of a student-based planning committee and budget. I also work to raise sponsorships to reduce overall fees for the event and coordinate marketing, promotions and logistics between University staff. My second role is to lead the Brock Student Leadership Network. This is a group of like-minded leaders who are passionate about resolving the world's problems through leadership. We facilitate professional development, mentorship and networking sessions by students, for students.
