As National Attorney Recruiting Director, I was responsible for developing relationships on a national scope with law firm and corporate clients, as well as direct sourcing talented lawyers to meet client needs. My division, Lucas Group Legal Search, places attorneys within the law firm and corporate legal environment. Together with my business development and management responsibilities, as a proven producer, I am responsible for personal production, and am therefore heavily involved in partner and general counsel placements, as well as practice group moves, firm mergers and acquisitions, on both a retained and contingency basis. In fiscal 2006, I directly opened the Atlanta office of a major international law firm, placing the Managing Partner and initial group, as well as multiple General Counsels and Associate General Counsel on a retained basis. My branch generated revenues for 2006 which exceeded budget, and which surpassed by more than 70% the highest prior revenue year in the branch's existence. I personally billed nearly 250% more than my predecessor, and was the top producer in the branch. Lastly, I am also responsible for budget formulation and human resources considerations.

My responsibilities included business development, with a focus on penetration of new national accounts, both law firm and corporate, as part of Robert Half's national accounts initiative. My primary focus was securing national contracts, encompassing both permanent placement and temporary staffing solutions, with clients based; Texas. I was further engaged in the marketing of turn key project attorney solutions, also both with law firms and corporations. I was directly involved in and wrote RFP's for Bayer, Blue Cross, and Akin Gump, and executed national contracts with Lennar Homes.

In the role of Managing Director, I was responsible for managing a team of recruiting professionals for a Fortune 500 company involved in the placement of legal professionals within the law firm and corporate legal environment. As such, we specialized in the recruitment and placement of both permanent and project or temporary legal staffing, including, but not limited to, attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants. My primary responsibility was business development, with a focus on penetration of new national and regional accounts. In said capacity I grew this office to a year over year organic revenue increase of 72%, with a net profit contribution increase of 698%, which was also 280% over budget. Lastly, I was also responsible for budget formulation and human resources consideration.

My company specialized strictly in the recruitment and placement of legal professionals on a permanent basis. In said capacity, my duties and responsibilities involved extensive client marketing and candidate recruitment via telephonic, email and networking events.

In my capacity as Recruiting Manger of Permanent Placements, my duties and responsibilities involved extensive phone marketing, client visit and recruitment work to develop new law firm and corporate accounts, as well as developing a candidate base within the South Florida legal community. I was able to build my business from the ground up and billed over $350,000 in permanent placements in fiscal year 2000, and had over $100,000 in billings in the first quarter of 2001, before moving back to Texas. My placements covered the full range of the legal profession, including, but not limited to, attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries and contracts administrators.

My responsibilities with Co-Counsel focused on the development of project attorneys and paralegals, although I did permanent placements as well. In said capacity, I was heavily involved in direct client contact via in office meetings. Amongst my accomplishments was negotiating an exclusive contract with a publicly traded corporate client to provide contract legal secretaries, paralegals and attorneys; and I ran the placement team responsible for providing project attorneys involved in one of the largest global oil mergers in history

My legal practice involved the full spectrum of civil litigation and corporate transactions, with my specialization being commercial litigation. I acted as in-house counsel to Credit Collections Professionals, wherein I advised them on all corporate matters, including shareholder issues and compliance with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

As Division Counsel, I was responsible for every conceivable legal issue related to the company's involvement in the distribution of John Deere, Hyster, and Detroit Diesel products. Such representation included commercial litigation, corporate transactions, and negotiation and settlement. I also represented other corporate divisions and entities as required.
