Dr. King was an internationally recognized legal expert with his numerous publications in seven countries and regions: USA, UK, France, Italy, Australia, Austria, Hong Kong, and China. He taught international business law and tax law courses in China in the capacity of an associate professor of law between 2002 and 2009 at Central University of Finance Economics School of Law, and worked as an adjunct professor of law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, an ABA-accredited law school in San Diego, California, USA, between 2008 and 2012, teaching a tax law unit in its LLM in Taxation program. Dr. King had the honor of being chosen to speak at the 2008 commencement ceremony of Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Dr. King also spoke at national and international scholastic symposiums held in China, Italy, Hungary, and Australia. In addition to a legal scholar, Dr. King was also a seasoned lawyer before immigrating to Canada. Mr. King worked as a lawyer and corporate in-house counsel while teaching law subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In his capacity as a lawyer and corporate counsel, he served large multinational corporation clients, and represented clients in international negotiations and drafted legal documents concerning legal issues of multiple jurisdictions. His clients include Zhang Ziyi, a Chinese Hollywood actress who was nominated for an Oscar and a Gold Globe award, Mr. Zhang Yimou, a film director of international recognition, tom.com, a company invested by Sir Li Ka-shing, a Hong Kong business magnate, investor, and philanthropist, and Guohua Energy Investment Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of a giant Chinese state-owned company as well as the largest coal producer in China.He did extensive study in Canadian business law in his effort to accreditation by ADRIC as a qualified arbitrator. He also received professional training in Canadian family law, family mediation and arbitration skills towards accreditation as a family law mediator.
