A former practicing attorney and now hospitality industry expert, Jonathan has 20 years of experience in restaurant and bar development from concept creation, menu development, to real estate site selection, design, construction and buildout. Jonathan has developed and implemented growth and expansion plans, developed budgeting strategies and has overseen restaurant and bar concepts’ branding and marketing efforts.To the art of hospitality development, Jonathan brings his deep understanding of consumer trends that affect restaurant traffic patterns, including efficient restaurant operations, financial accountability, real estate selection, and building effective teams. He has directed the efforts of over 600 employees and overseen daily operations management. Moreover, Jonathan has been deeply involved in serving the industry through his long-term support of and participation in the Texas Restaurant Association. He has served as the president of the Houston chapter, as well as the Chair of the Board of the statewide association. Jonathan has served as CEO, Chief Brand Officer, Vice President of Marketing and General Counsel to companies that owned and operated restaurants and bar concepts both inside and outside Texas. He is a licensed attorney, having practiced law at Chamberlain Hrdlicka and Haynes and Boone, LLP in Houston, as well as a licensed real estate agent. He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and his B.A. from Rice University. He is a noted speaker and author on business, restaurant, and hospitality subjects.
