International Sales Manager
CurrentStarting from zero, in only one year he developed a solid international business for Amico, the leading manufacturer in the USA for steel- and FRP (fiber glass) grating, as well as expanded- and perforated metal. As soon as he joined the company, he laid out an aggressive World Strategy, with initial focus mainly on the Latin American markets. After one trip to Brazil and to Mexico he presented to the top management a strategy for a possible acquisition or JV, in order to establish a manufacturing operation in each of those countries. Besides that, has established distributors (some with warehousing capacity)in: Mexico, Peru, Guatemala and Colombia. In terms of actual sales, he has closed almost 40% of the overall quotes he put together so far. Some clients are now buying continuously, some on a monthly basis, some even on a weekly basis. Main industries are, among other: mining, oil & gas, automotive, infrastructure, pulp & paper, pharmaceutical, food and sugar mills.
