I am a Science Technician at school who is responsible for supporting the teaching of science by providing technical support and ensuring that the laboratory is well-equipped and maintained. Some of my responsibilities are:• Preparation of laboratory materials and equipment for practical lessons and experiments, including setting up apparatus and materials, and ensuring that they are clean, organized, and ready for use.• Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, including ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition, and arranging for repairs or replacements when necessary.• Responsible for ensuring that the laboratory is safe for students and teachers and that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. This includes the management of hazardous chemicals, the disposal of waste materials, and the regular testing of safety equipment.• Responsible for maintaining records of laboratory equipment and materials, and for ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and orders for new equipment and materials are placed on time.• Provide assistance to teachers during lessons, including setting up and dismantling equipment, and providing technical support to students.

• Perform tests on product samples using established procedures and methods. Analyse the results of these tests to determine if the products meet the required standards.• Identify and report any quality issues or defects found during testing. Report to other members of the production team to address and correct these issues.• Maintain accurate records of test results and other quality control information. Keep track of inventory levels of materials used in testing and sampling.• Following safety regulations and wearing protective gear when necessary. Follow proper safety procedures when handling hazardous materials.• Continuously review and improve quality control processes and procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards. Keep up to date with changes in regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
