under my authority the program was responsible for the management of data and the access through technology (internet / mobile phone / land line) of all information relevant to the parliamentary and government elections 2011 – 2012 and availing it to the public. I joined Vodafone Egypt in 2004, encouraged by the ongoing boom in mobile communications. Starting as Head of Enterprise Sales and Solutions, I was promoted to Head of Enterprise Products, Services and Solutions in 2005 before assuming the position of Head of the Future Products Unit. In this role, which included setting strategies to position the company as a key player in the converged world of communications, media and IT, I gained experience in fulfilling the total information and communication needs of the market and crafting strategies to engage with different players in order to provide products that satisfy the future requirements of the market. At Vodafone Egypt I headed sales, marketing and strategy teams, managed business sales, including corporate SME, and contributed to the introduction of new mobile solutions into the Egyptian market.

as President of NOOR the company offered the Egyptian market the first private ISP and the first data center, this was to be followed by the internet boom in Egypt in the early 2000’s but NOOR is considered the pioneer.• Negotiating alliances with local and international business and technology partners, and maintaining these relationships according to business flux and events• Establishing the optimum format for the company as a legal entity in Egypt as well as handling negotiations with authorities to obtain the necessary licenses to function in the Egyptian market• Formatting the first phase data communications plan, defining provisioning strategies.• Formatting the organization structure, initiating the required departments and business functions, setting up internal procedures and processes, and internal communications

Joined Oracle Egypt in 1996 as a pre-sales manager, then was soon promoted to develop the applications business and manage operations for the first year, during which time the focus was on building the required infrastructure. In June 1998, I became manager of the applications business unit, involved with sales, pre-sales, consulting, support, marketing and alliances. In this capacity I managed the company’s applications business in Egypt, with the overall responsibility for sales revenue, profit margins and partners (sales, support and consulting).

I joined IBM Egypt in 1988, working my way from systems engineer in the IBM Applications Development Center (responsible for developing, acquiring, localizing and launching applications across the Middle East) to managing all systems engineering activities in the private sector department, in addition to the manufacturing and distribution businesses. During my time with IBM, I gained experience on both the technical and managerial levels, including management of marketing activities accompanying the launch of new offerings.
