Over the past 30 years, I have gained extensive multifaceted experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field in the region; as well as sound management experience across different industries, working in both national and multinational organizations. My experience with multinational organizations started with IBM Egypt in 1988, working my way from systems engineer in the IBM Applications Development Center to managing systems engineering activities in the private sector, and a final promotion to General Business Sales Manager. I then joined Oracle Egypt in 1996 as a pre-sales manager, and was soon promoted to develop the applications business and manage its operations for the first year. In June 1998, them promoted to manage the Applications Business Unit. In 2004, I joined Vodafone Egypt, encouraged by the ongoing boom in mobile communications, in the capacity of Head of Enterprise Sales and Solutions after which I was promoted to the position of Head of Enterprise Products, Services and Solutions in 2005 before assuming the position of Head of the Future Products Unit, Then Head of Strategies to position VFE in the converged world of communications, media and IT.At this stage I decided that my professional experience needed to be augmented by work in the public sector and so I joined the Ministry of State for Administrative Development (MSAD) in 2009 as Advisor to the Minister for the Development of Government Services Program, responsible for modernizing government services, and spearheading of the e-Gov national program. Then Now also Executive Director for the National Management Institute "NMI"Capitalizing on all the above varied experience and using my knowledge of initiating start-up companies, as well as the operational and technical know-how necessary for company “turn-around” I undertook - during the past ten years - several consulting missions, both in the private and public sectors.Specialties: Mobile communications, Information Technology, strategic planning, Sales, Marketing, Management
