I am a theoretical chemist and software developer. During my time as a Ph.D. student at Virginia Tech, I developed wavefunction-based approaches to studying magnetic couplings in strongly correlated molecules. In my current position as a staff scientist at Q-Chem, I am gaining experience in several other areas in addition to my scientific work, including grant writing, editing, release management, science communications, customer support, and marketing. I have significant experience in both Python and C++.

    Over the summer, I worked with Q-Chem developers to create the librassf library for Q-Chem 5.3. Our library allows users to run RAS-SF-IP/EA calculations using explicitly-coded diagrammatically-derived terms. I am currently developing the library further, with the primary goals being code speedup and extension to Bloch effective Hamiltonians, which should allow computational studies of magnetic couplings in larger multi-site molecules.
