Desktop Support Engineer
Current•Cornerstone for escalating desktop issues•Plan and implement desktop upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.•Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.•Manage enterprise active directory services and supporting desktop infrastructure.•Maintains employee user accounts and Office 365 mailboxes•Use MS Group Policies and other software tools to enable and enforce hardened secure images for desktop devices•Design, deploy and manage desktop imaging deployment processes and procedures.•Administer and resolve issues with end users.•Receive and respond to incoming calls, tickets and/or e-mails regarding problems.•Perform moves, additions, and changes (MAC) requests•Develop and maintain an inventory of all components and equipment•Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation and removal•Liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors•Interact with executive level team members to troubleshoot technical issues•Develop and secure physical and virtual desktop images•Support: Microsoft Windows 7, 10 and Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2•Support all company hardware, software and networks•Support all Microsoft Office 2016 / Office 365 products•Implement and Support Blackberry Work, Cylance Protect endpoint solutions, Sophos Safeguard disk encryption on Windows 7 and 10, VDI solutions such as Microsoft RDS, Citrix and VMware Horizon, Manage Engine ServiceDesk Plus and Desktop Central products•Troubleshoot and resolve remote VPN connectivity issues•Implement and Support desktop performance tuning and monitoring tools and desktop imaging solutions •Working Knowledge of TCP/IP and network configurations, and operating system configuration and scripting languages such as PowerShell•Technical proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft group policies with regards to securing and hardening desktop system
