Houston King attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and South Dakota State University for his BS in Computer Science, awarded from SDSU in 2012. At MIT, Houston worked under Natan Linder on the LuminAR robotic augmented reality interface in the Fluid Interfaces Laboratory in the MIT Media Lab. In 2014 Houston earned his MS in Computer Science at Montana State University while working under Dr. John Sheppard. While at MSU, Houston performed research at the Numerical Intelligent Systems Laboratory on several Department of Defense STTR and SBIR projects, with a focus on probabilistic graphical models. After completion of his MS, Houston has been a software engineer at Workiva building distributed concurrency and consistency tools for the next generation of Workiva’s distributed SAAS platform. In his spare time, Houston remains involved with machine learning seminars at NISL and guest lecturing for machine learning and programming language courses at MSU.
