My love for Electronics and High tech gadgets led me on an amazing journey, starting with a full circle in the entertainment industry, Audio, AV, Lighting, Rigging and structures and ultimately ending up with my favorite medium, LED and large format, outdoor LED screens. I applied all the years of mechanical and electronic experience in developing a range of locally produced LED screens, custom manufactured to almost any size and shape. The latest product ranges now includes indoor curved and outdoor full colour LED displays. Some of my indoor products are deployed in some of the country's leading university lecture rooms, shopping malls and churches. The outdoor products are installed in Billboards across Southern Africa, with some on the richest square mile in Africa - Sandton Johannesburg. The largest installation is close to 100m2 screen in a sports stadium in South Africa. Over the years I've seen my fair share of huge, outdoor concerts , some from FOH, some from monitor land and some even from the Stageco roof. Metallica, Robbie Williams, Kings of Leon and many more. This was all with with the largest rental company in Africa at the time, Gearhouse South Africa. When I decided I'm getting to old for climbing I spent a few years in the corporate IT world. I loved the data analysis and infosec challenges, but the corporate grind got a bit too much, so I went back to my first love, electronics, and tried my hand at R&D. I designed and built commercial and Industrial LED luminaries, from waterproof pool lights to large scale commercial lighting, with the highlights being my products applied in large scale retail cold storage Distribution Centers and a rollout of the TSA canopy luminaries for Total Southern Africa.
