• Responsibilities include managing the database systems for corporate warehouse, corporate financial, helpdesk, web, and store platforms. Work jointly in a team environment with database design, development, performance tuning, back up/recovery troubleshooting and the support and maintenance of the database systems for corporate applications teams. Additional responsibilities include manage and configure 3rd Party performance monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol, ProActive DBA and SQL Power Tools. Non-Technical responsibilities include interviewing potential employees; mentoring new members to the DBA team, manage relationships with software vendors and evaluate potential database tools.• Managed a database upgrade project to upgrade over 100 store, corporate and development servers from Sybase ASE 12.5.03 to Sybase 15.0.2.• Managed a project to upgrade the corporate SAS environment form 9.1 to 9.2. The upgrade also included a SAS enterprise upgrade to version 4.2

Responsibilities include analyzing user and system requirements, design and implement programming solutions with current and emerging technologies. In addition used current multidimensional OLAP tools, such as Cognos Impromtu and Cognos PowerPlay. Interact with business users to determine data and reporting requirements. Additional tasks include assisting the DBA with SQL Server 6.5 database design.

Responsibilities included querying data warehouses to support marketing and analysis for Small Business. In addition, understanding the corporate and local database structures, working with a variety of querying tools and analytical software to extract, manipulate and report on Small Business Information.
